Memorial Donations

When a loved one dies, family and friends often ask how they can help.

The Forget Me Not Fund provides a way for supporters to make memorial donations in honor of a specific individual. Donors may include the deceased's name when making a contribution.

How Memorial Donations Work

Donations designated for a specific individual will be tracked by The Forget Me Not Fund and applied toward the balance owed to the funeral home caring for that individual.

When sufficient funds are available, The Forget Me Not Fund will make payment directly to the funeral home to help reduce or satisfy the family's outstanding balance.

Payments are never made directly to families.

Our Commitment

The Forget Me Not Fund works with participating funeral homes throughout Yellowstone County to help families bring their loved ones home with dignity.

All payments are made directly to the funeral home providing services.

Excess Donations

If memorial donations exceed the amount owed for a specific individual, any remaining funds will be used to assist other Yellowstone County families experiencing financial hardship through The Forget Me Not Fund's general assistance program.

Making a Memorial Donation

When donating online, please include the deceased's name in the designated note field.

Example:

"In memory of John Smith"

This helps us ensure donations are properly credited and directed.
